Retired Peace Officers Firearms Requalification

Date: April 2, 2010

Location: Rabun County Firing Range

Time: 1000 hrs - 1300 hrs

This class will be on the use of deadly force and the Georgia Double Action Course of Fire as mandated by POST.

This training is required under HR 218.

 

Ladies Firearms Class (Basic)

Date: April 9, 2010

        April 10, 2010

Location: Rabun County Detention Center Training Room. April 9th (6 pm - 8 pm)

                Rabun County Firing Range. April 10th (9 am - Noon)

This course will cover permits, self defense, the law, safety issues and live fire.

 

High Risk Entry

Date: April 15, 2010

Location: Rabun County Detention Center Training Room & Shoot House; Firing Range

Time: 0900 hrs - 1700 hrs

This class is for officers with a department issued .45. Participants will receive 8 hours POST credit.

 

Firearms Requalification (Clayton P.D.)

Date: April 22, 2010

Location: Rabun County Firing Range

Time: 1000 hrs - 1400 hrs

This class will be on the use of deadly force and the Georgia Double Action Course of Fire as mandated by POST.

 

Inmate Transport (Detention and Road Officers)

Date(s): April 23, 2010

Location: Rabun County Detention Center Training Room

Time: 0900 hrs - 1200 hrs

This class will be a refresher course on inmate transport and will cover department policy.

Ladies Firearms Class (Intermediate)

Date: April 23, 2010

         April 24, 2010

Location: Rabun County Detention Center Training Room. April 23rd (6 pm - 8 pm)

                Rabun County Firing Range. April 24th (9 am - Noon)

Prerequisite: Those interested must have attended a basic ladies firearm class in order to enroll in this intermediate course.

This course will focus on maintenance and troubleshooting.

 

Defensive Tactics (Detention Officers and Road Officers)

Dates & Times:  April 30, 2009 (0900 hrs - 1500 hrs)

Location: Rabun Co. Rec. Department

This will be a continuation of unarmed tactics for detention and road officers.

All Officers should wear comfortable clothing and bring bottled water.
