Ladies Firearms Class (Basic)

Location: Rabun County Detention Center Training Room. June 4th (6 pm - 8 pm)

                Rabun County Firing Range. June 5th (9 am - Noon)

This course will cover permits, self defense, the law, safety issues and live fire.

Ladies Firearms Class (Intermediate)

Date: June 11, 2010

         June 12, 2010

Location: Rabun County Detention Center Training Room. June 11th (6 pm - 8 pm)

                Rabun County Firing Range. June 12th (9 am - Noon)

Prerequisite: Those interested must have attended a basic ladies firearm class in order to enroll in this intermediate course.

This course will focus on maintenance and troubleshooting.

Back up Weapons Qualification & Night Fire Qualification

Date: June 24, 2010

Location: Rabun County Firing Range

Time: 1900 hrs - 2030 hrs (Back up Weapons)

          2030 hrs - Until (Night Fire) 

Back up weapons qualifying will begin at 1900 hrs. Weapon must be operated from the on duty position of concealed carry.

!!!Officers must furnish their own ammunition for back up qualifying. Minimum of 14 rounds required.!!!

Night fire qualifying will begin at dark. Officers must bring duty gear. Vest is to be worn during this training.

Night fire is mandatory for road officers.
