Searching and Cuffing (Detention & Road Officers)

Time: 0900 hrs - 1500 hrs
This will include the proper use of cuffing tactics and searching of inmates.
Students should bring cuffs and workout attire.

Firearms Training - Georgia Double Action Course
Date(s): March 18 & 19, 2010
Location: Rabun County Sheriff's Office Firing Range
Time: 0900 hrs - 1500 hrs
This is the State required training for firearms. Also covered will be the use of deadly force.
Response to the Active Shooter

Location: Rabun County High School
This class will be designed to help the officer understand and respond to the dynamics of reacting to the active shooter. This course will cover new concepts and review past training.
Domestic Violence Training
Date(s): March 26, 2010
Time: 0900 hrs - 1200 hrs
Location: Rabun County Detention Center Training Room
Instructor: Capt. Gerald Johnson
This class will cover laws governing domestic violence and law enforcement response to domestic violence calls.
