This class is to give officers a better understanding of suicide by cop and the aftermath.

Surviving the Fight

Date: March 11th, 2011

Time: 1000 hrs - 1500 hrs

Location: Rabun County Detention Center Training Room & Firing Range

This class will cover the physical and mental response to an attack and the methods of counteraction. This class will also cover the ambush.

Bring duty gear and range attire.

Response to the Active Shooter

Date(s): March 16th, 2011

Time: 0900 hrs - 1600 hrs

Location: Rabun County Firing Range & Shoot House

This class will be designed to help the officer understand and respond to the dynamics of reacting to the active shooter. This course will cover new concepts and review past training.

Another class will be taught for those unable to attend due to shift.
